OSLC Day Camp 2009

Greetings from Our Savior Lutheran Church!

Day Five entry from our Camp Blog:
Our last day of camp this year has come all too quickly. Judging from the happy faces of the campers and their sadness in having to say goodbye to our counselors from Camp Lutherwood, the week has been a truly wonderful experience for all involved. From Monday through Friday over 50 campers (ages 3-11) learned about the freedom we know in Christ, as they engaged in song, dance, play, faith-filled conversation and much more. Hosting camp here at OSLC is a way to give kids a taste of what a week at Camp Lutherwood might be like. Check out the programs that they offer for children and youth and consider building on this experience with plans for your child to go to Lutherwood, soon (www.camplutherwood.org).
Special thanks to all our volunteers: our camp coordinators, Brook Gouge, Jennifer Papp and Leslie Waltzer; our snack coordinators, Dave and Georgeanne Park; our teachers, Gerrie Hendrickson, Natalie Francois, Michelle Blythe, Sabrina Wick-Jensen and Pam Moore; our Camp Lutherwood counselors, Angel, Hopper, Poe Poe, Java and Subway; our host families, Evy Sneva, Bev Geary and Mark Mummy; and our many energetic youth helpers!
Spread the word about camp fun. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
